Members have access to our full walks calendar which consists of graded walks most weekends (see Walks tab for description of the grades).

There are also mid-week walks and outings – usually on a Wednesday. These are easier walks, usually about 2 hours with most people staying around for a coffee or a lunch.

On top of the regular walking calendar, we have multiple weekends within Ireland (usually the bank holidays), and some week long trips further afield. There is an annual club BBQ, an outing which includes walks and a dinner as well as other social events throughout the year. Only members can participate in the trips and weekends.

Membership of Blackrock Hillwalking club includes membership of Mountaineering Ireland. This provides some insurance cover, a 10% discount in many outdoor stores, and the Mountain Log magazine posted directly to you 4 times a year.

Membership runs from Nov to Oct each year (in line with Mountaineering Ireland). Our AGM is usually held in October and many members use this opportunity to renew.

If you are joining us for the first time please use the full version of the membership form here

If you are already a member, you can use the shorter renewal form here
